Questions to ask your carpet cleaner
You have made the decision to have your carpets cleaned. Have you ever thought about some of the questions you could ask your carpet cleaner?
Some carpet technicians use the term ‘technician’ due to the technical skills they have developed to clean carpets. Carpet cleaning requires knowledge and our local Exeter carpet cleaner, Martin Smith is fully qualified to clean your carpets throughout Devon.
A good carpet technician will be one that is fully trained by a recognised professional industry approved organisation. Martins Cleaning Services have been fully trained by the NCCA (National Carpet cleaners Association). To check our membership you can log onto the NCCA website and look for member 1919.
How often should I have my carpets cleaned?
There is no solid answer although most carpets are cleaned annually while others may be more frequent such as 6 months if they are in ‘heavy traffic’ areas.
Should my carpet cleaner by insured?
It is rare that we are asked if we are fully insured. To answer your question I can confirm that we are fully insured and our insurance is renewed annually. We have not had any claims or caused any damage to any carpets or client property. However when choosing a company to clean your carpets; please be aware that accidents can and do happen, choosing a company without insurance may increase complications should something be damaged. It is recommended that you choose a company with insurance and do not be worried about asking to see a certificate of insurance. A good carpet cleaning company will understand that you are protecting your home and carpets and upholstery.
How much will it cost to have my carpets cleaned?
The price of carpet cleaning can vary. We believe that our prices may not be the cheapest however our experience and qualification speak for itself and this alone is highly valuable. Carpet cleaning will always be less expensive than replacement.
Quotation or estimate?
Always ask for a written quotation with the work outlined fully so there can be no misunderstanding as to what you will have cleaned. Do remember an estimate is as it says and may be subject to change. A thorough carpet cleaning technician will welcome the opportunity to provide a pre-inspection of your carpets and upholstery to ensure that the correct method of cleaning is applied.
What if I have any other questions?
If you have any query or questions please do ask our carpet cleaner and qualified NCCA technician. We are always happy to help.
